PvP as a melee is all based on timing. If you're a tank, make sure you use your engage. Don't just run in. If you're a melee DPS, you need to follow up the tank, don't try to go in alone.

The sad part with PvP is that after the nerf, they made it so it isn't worth trying to win. If you are losing, it is best to just lose immediately for the most experience possible. However, taking experience away would just move people back to Palace of the Dead. There just needs to be a greater incentive for people to try while punishing AFKers.

I think it is hilarious that people suggest that destroying ice is the only way to win at Shatter. I have seen many matches where they were won off of kills. I am told by a good friend EU doesn't even waste time with ice.

Its not the only way to win shatter but it is necessary to take objectives if your opponent teams are not braindead people who let themselfs get killed over and over again. Your good friend gives you wrong informations about EU.

If you want a quick match the ice should be the priority but that only works if people are not running around like chickens who lost their head. To win without setting your priority on ice you need a good team otherwhise its impossible.

to be able to win without hitting the objectives, or giving them low priority, the cooperation of the whole alliance is needed it is true...this is the hard part, have the whole alliance cooperate

Quick match? Killing gets matches over faster than waiting on ice to pop. When everyone focuses ice I typically see matches get lower than the 8 min mark and wins being whoever gets the most points on the last ice. Otherwise with killing the matches last less than 10 minutes.

I have seen Flames and Adders win. Mael is strong against an objectively challenged team but troll Mael and they crumble.
