    Good Match! Nice Job! Hello

Can we please get rid of:

    Good Match!
    Hello.
    Nice job!

Last match someone said Good Match 64 times.
This happens all the time with these 3 because people are upset and being sarcastic.

I know it adds some socialness where your not allowed to talk.
Go play frontlines if you want to argue and be sarcastic.

At least maybe people will spam a strategy 64 times instead like "Attacking Healer!"

That's when you report them and move on with your day. We've already had someone get reported for abuse of it, so it's not as if it's not getting touched upon.

These phrases work on JP datacenter as intended. It's almost obligatory to say Hello! at start and Good Match! at the end regardless of result. It's considered very rude if you don't use them. They will not remove them just because westerners abuse it.

I've played Disc Jam on PS4 recently, it has a few quick chat phrases but opponents can see them too. And half of them are something like 'LOL!' and 'Rekt!', I used them after every score just to piss of my opponents. It was more fun and felt like a legit PvP experience.

All jokes and sarcasm aside, I think this really highlights the fact that quick chat has done little to nothing to stave or reduce harrassment or negative language in the Feast. If anything, we lost communication and gained little more than a tool to be even nastier toward people with.

SE, you might really want to set aside your own personal views (and/or skewed perspectives on the matter, based on flawed data), and really listen to the community here. Rather than punish everyone with this, relegate it to a light means of punishment for those not mature enough to mind their manners. I would think that's both a smarter, and easier solution.

While folks will still find ways to be rude and trashy, it does greatly minimize the amount of toxic chat. You can report people for harassment and spamming the chat, simple as that. Don't get so invested in someone who clearly can't keep their head in the game and is too focused on being an ass.

While I was learning PVP a few seasons back nearly every match had someone chew me out whenever I made a mistake, no helpful/constructive criticism what so ever. This toxicity can turn many new and wanting to learn players away.

That's a two way street though, and allow me to paint a more rounded out picture:

While I'm using Frontlines as an example, whether it's Feast or Frontlines hardly matters. I was in a Shatter match once and the first large ice spawns right next to my team, below our position. Since I wasn't far from the mouth of that area, I turned around and ran in safely while others dropped right off the cliff. Other people on another team were doing so, and I immediately take out 3 of them in a shorter time than it took to then stop and tell my team "Hey, don't drop off the cliff when other teams are already there. You'll be dropping into a fight at half health." Solid advice, purely informative, nothing rude whatsoever.

I'm then met with not only a complete ignoring of my advice, but a sarcastic and nasty "Oh if only we had some kind of self-healing skill to use like Recuperate. . ." First off, there was no need for that player to be rude. Second, Recuperate won't heal you up to full from half, not even back when it could be traited for a stronger heal. Third, even when healers had aoe heals, it wasn't about just healing through it, but having good awareness of the situation. Needless to say they all got wiped out. The bigger picture here is I offered good advice as a more experienced player, calmly and nicely, and it was met with rude sarcasm and that cost us.

Matters of toxicity are hardly ever as one sided as people like to make it seem, and among the players that regularly PvPed then, a certain degree of respect and ettiquette had been established. Sure, some couldn't hold their tongues or mind their manners, but largely, issues of toxic behavior rarely were a matter of someone more experienced just dumping on a newer player without provocation. Especially not when the PVP community wanted to grow; how could we grow if we were so busy scaring people away? In a similar line of thought, how can we teach people that will rudely ignore or refute advice, or just plain get nasty with us even if we're civil?

People will always find new ways to be salty, no way around it.

Removing three sentences put on for basic social courtesy isn't really going to solve much.

I don't really do Feast that often but going in and being denied the possibilty of saying 'hello' and 'thank you' just feels odd.

It's people's fault they can turn a basic greeting into something toxic.
