Excluding Players from Ultimate Savage is Not the Right Move

No need to be so hostile my good friend. We both want the same thing. To keep the undeserving away from our content/rewards.

Difference is, I never have, nor ever will suggest a time gate for rewards from any content, Ultimate and PVP included. I know Hyo is of like mind on this subject. You can still go back, blitz Neo Exdeath, and finish Bahamut and earn the title and the weapon. If we had it like you so adamantly defend Feast tournaments, that would no longer be possible.

Well look at it this way, there is nothing stopping a player from going through the PF and skipping straight to o8s, clearing it (whether they were carried or not) and then having instant access to the Ultimate content. Players can go straight in to o4s now and unlock Ult Bahamut, as being overgeared often allows for more mistakes (or to be carried), but that doesn't mean the player is ready to then try the game's hardest content. We then have 5.0 which would allow unsync for old savage content, making it even easier.

Essentially the content might be locked, but a player only needs to wait a few months and they can have it unlocked quicker than most raiders did originally. Should a player be expected to compete a particular savage raid a certain number of times first before unlocking it? So you have to ask where is the actual limit to how restricted something should be, because it can suddenly become no longer exclusive to hardcore raiders regardless of its original intention.

It's kind of a moot point. Even if someone did manage to get carried through o4s or o8s to unlock ultimate - they still have to prove themselves worthy to a UCOB or UWU group. Survival of the fittest, they won't last long if they can't keep up. Even if they weren't carried, Ultimate is not for everyone. My original static that cleared both 4s and 8s, the majority simply wouldn't be able to hang with Ultimate. And I've had urges to try it but not even sure about myself tbh. So I don't see any problem with it being locked, it's not excluding players at all - everyone has an equal shot at unlocking - you just have to earn it.

Should just sell Ultimate Jump Potions on mogstation. Actually one step above, should just sell the clear on mogstation that way no one is excluded from the title and weapon.

Um thats not what I said. I said if savage gear is needed for ultimate, then having ultimate ungated is redundant. Let me propose another reason though: If you are recruiting for an ultimate static, you know that everyone that you recruit has beaten savage by virtue of being able to enter the fight. Its a barrier of entry that proves you are good enough to attempt the content, and by saturating the amount of players seeking groups, it would make the content a whole lot more difficult to get into, and would cause a lot more toxicity (from everyone, not just "elitists" before someone jumps in on that) and frustration in the long run.

Plz don't even suggest that - SE might get an idea and try to push Yoshi to do it so they can push more FF15 and KH3 DLC.

But it contridicts itself if it's supposed to have such difficult restrictions for getting there YET it's not that hard to get around it whether you are ready to challenge the hardest content or not. The original discussion was the content shouldn't be locked out for casual players, but you only need to wait and suddenly it's actually in reach for just about anyone.

there's just no point making it open to everyone
the standard versions of the bosses are available to all and the ultimate fights are tuned to a point that if you can't get past savage on your own merits you'll last maybe 10-15s at best

not to mention full best in slot is kind of a pre-req to even have a chance
