help me mining pls

please tell me how the heck to start mining for copper and tin in eastern thanalan please. i cant figure out how to see the ore in the mountains please give help to me.

You'll first want to head to the Miners Guild in Ul'Dah. (I know I spelled that wrong xD)

There, you can unlock your Miner and they will give you a Pickaxe to get you started. From there, you can use your Mining Journal (from the actions menu), to see what you can currently mine up and a good idea where in the area as well. (Clicking the area name will bring up a map, if it's blank, you'll have to actually explore said area to reveal it)

There will also be abilities that can find mining nodes and show you were they are on your mini-map, along with a message saying how close you are the said nodes. Once you reach it, simply click on the node to start the mining process!

Also note that depending on your level and other factors, you may not see some nodes right away. It would also be a good idea to browse your starter cities shops to purchase gear to get you started.

Don't forget your Active Help Menu is also there to help you re-learn the basics as well if needed!

If it's in your inventory, simply equip it and you'll be a miner.

Then you can talk to the NPC there to begin the starter quest for it.

From there, even if you decide to tackle the quest later on, you can go out and start mining right away! (Although, it is advised to do the quest, lol)

If you're a PC player, I will give you the greatest trick to lvl all gathering job easily : get a PS4 controller !
