Shh, it's totally a secret
I swear, if they gender-lock bare feet I am going to glamour skin-coloured tights and nothing else for the rest of my character's life, and forsake the ways of fashion forever.
*screams*
Actually just thought of something. The reason our toons are forced to wear the little sandles is to help keep the walking animations correctly leveled... And HW Minfillia/Voice of the Mother floats. She doesn't need shoes since she doesn't touch the ground.
Yeeeep, which makes sense for the game. It goes back to having a choice vs not having s choice. Then again BnS does race lock for the classes. The major outfit changes for the races are there to support Lyn players. As a Summoner main (race locked to Lyn) most of the outfits I wouldn't dare wear at all, and even if I did I couldn't without feeling VERY awkward if I had the Jin, Gon and Yun style of outfits. So I'm happy that I have a choice, either I like the change or I don't. If I don't then I don't buy or work for it in game. Either way, I have a choice, as do the rest of the players. That's why I feel the guys are mad here in FFXIV, they don't have any choice at all. Weither its because of "lack of resources" as you said preventing SE from doing a outfit redesign to accommodate all players or maybe it is they want to prevent another Aymeric situation of players complaining they can't wear the other genders specific glamor style, who knows for sure. If that really is the case then the players need to learn they can't have it all ways even if a choice is given.Yeah, but then again... blade and soul not only make the gear different for the males and females but also the races. Some females have less gear than others, for example 1 wear miniskirt or shorts while the other one a long dress or jeans. Their money mainly comes from this and games like that vanity is a very big thing, kinda funny which ff14 is all about too. But I recon they would need to spend more ''resources'' on FF14 to do this, hence probably why they wont. But the thing is that males who complains about this often want to crossdress, which I have nothing againts. However Blade and soul doesn't do that, they make the gear just look more manly I guess.
