    Puglist This

    I have been playing PUG lately and been seeing some big problems with it. I played as THF on ffxi and PUG is THF/MNK/RDM in one. I think i have found some ways to balance pugs to have more even match which the game of ffxiv.

    Pugs need more types of Elemental Fists. Right now only Fire and Stone are covered.
    Also another problem is these cost MP to use. PUG needs a Ability that gains himself MP.

    PUG needs the following

    -Evasion Up Ability
    -Job Trait which lets him gain MP "Auto Refresh"
    -Bonus Damage when Attacking Enemies from behind
    -More Damage from Elemental Fists
    -Monsters need to be more weaker by Fists and there Weakness to that Elemental
    -Job Trait that boosts there Evasion When they have max hate. (Will make Taunt more useful)
    - Using Taunt Boosts your Dex/Crit Attack damage.
    - Can use Second Wind as a 3rd Combo in a Weapon Skill without TP cost.
    - Needs to more Enemies weaker to Blunt based Damage
    - A Ability which can be either learned from another class or PUG which gives big chunk of MP to the player with a recast time of like 10-20mins.
    - A None WS Ability to Stun the enemy for 3-5secs at a time which can only be reuse every 3mins.
    - Increase the Amount of HP healed by 3rd Combo Second Wind.

    This would make it a good Evasion Tank and a Decent Self-Healer when its doing 3 combo setup for free Second Winds. It would make use of the ability Taunt more useful also. Also even when its not a tank it would have increased auto-attack behind the enemy. It would be more of a elemental fighter choosing its Elements more wisely for every type of Monster.

    Not that this is over powered list. Its a list for both other classes and Puglists. Right now Puglists dont really have a play style or many of them to use. They don't play a role in a group which is why they suck.

    I play PUG and doing 2 combos for it pretty low compared to MRD & LNC. Its like 1/4. Doing 3 way Combo for Free Boosted Second wind is quite hard. So even if they had boosted Evasion it would still have low def and will not be able to support heal itself that well.

    Puglists having Taunt is kinda bad since it makes them some sorta Tank. Since they do its a good idea to give it a boost. Provoke got added Boost. They added Elemental Fists which is sign that this class will be alot like Redmage was post to be in FFXI. A Elemental Fighting Job. The Problem is Noone really used Enfire, Enfira etc in FFXI for redmages in a party.

    Can my lancer spam fireballs, please? He's Chuck Norris, Van Damme and Bruce Lee in one. And this would really balance lancer... at least mine ;P

    First of all Pugalist allready has Evasion up check the traits tab next time you play.

    Second of all Pugalist is as far from thief as possible aside from being evasive and having a single trait that depends on if your behind the monster. As much as they started out calling it the "Theif" class it does few things a thief really does.

    Why do the fists cost MP? Maybe because they are not meant to be maintained indefinatly the few times you actually need to get MP back is when you generally get your HP back...between fights.

    1. Jobs are designed to specialize any given class. SE will never make PGL (or any class for that matter) a "super" THF, RDM, and MNK all in one. Its very possible it will have independent THF RDM and MNK(confirmed) jobs but it won't be, as said above, an "overpowered" superclass.

    2. Most of your post is already being addressed with the MNK job. The MP aspect of the class is an issue but it is an appropriate one, if PGL was able to remain under the effect of its Fist attacks indefinitely then the class would be very broken. MNK is going to introduce a weapon skill that combos from Sucker Punch which will help alleviate the MP worries somewhat.

    3. Once we gain Fists of Wind with MNK, extra Fist attacks would be nice (and will probably appear over time with level cap increases) but are rather unnecessary. If you play PGL correctly (that is, equipping INT gear like SE suggested with the new stat rebalances) then you will notice a dramatic boost in damage on the proper enemies. Doing 5-star GC leves I am usually pitted against Ice Wind Fire and Lightning elementals. All of which are lv52 and I have 302 INT.

    Bare handed damage - 70~80 against all of them
    Fists of Fire against Ice Elementals is the most prominent boost and each strike does 170~190 damage with 200+ crits. Against Wind and Fire elementals, I only do about 7~10 damage per hit :P and against all the other neutral elements I average about 100~130 depending on the elemental. Against those Fire and Wind elementals I usually change to Fists of Earth and put out that 100~120 damage again and I usually can get 150~170 damage per hit against the Lightning Elementals. (Fists of Earth doesn't grant the same attack bonus that Fists of Fire does) Changing from elementals to normal lv52 monsters, just subtract about 20~50 damage from all of the above numbers.

    My highest damage on a lv52 Ice Elemental with Fists of Fire and a Combo'd Howling Fist with Blindside was 2305 damage. The elemental fist attacks work just fine, they just need to be used properly. While Fists of Wind will be undeniably useful against Ifrit (course, there will be a new primal by then, thanks SE >:| Can't yet us PGL's shine? ; ; Hopefully its Shiva so we can ra... do terrible things to her) it won't be absolutely necessary. Like I said, Fists of Fire works against anything that isn't Fire or Wind based, Fists of Earth takes care of anything that is.

    Okay, I could tolerate it up to the last one that I comment on, after that I just italicized the rest as I didn't read it. I can't even take you seriously after starting off mentioning logic, then spiraling off to such illogical, overdemands.
