Let me start by saying I DPS as a healer, but I'm so tired of these healer DPS threads.

Why is it acceptable to create threads calling out healers because they don't DPS much?

Are they playing their role optimally? No! But neither are 90% of the player base.

Most DPS put up Mediocre numbers... Really, most DPS are bad. It's no different that a healer just healing. They are doing a half ass job too.

Most tanks don't roll CDs to mitigate damage well. Let's trash pull everything and not roll a single CD. Let's tank in DPS stance and not roll any CDs to mitigate the 20% autos. Let's take TB's dry. All these things make me blow CDs to heal you when I could be dpsing. It's no different that a healer just healing. They are doing a half ass job.

A thread pointing out the lack of threads calling out bad tanks and dps would, by nature, be calling out bad tanks and dps.

The point the OP is making, is that they can DPS more, if other people werent more at fault for the healer not having more time to DPS.
(Which is what you're supposed to argue against, since the OPs argument is a strawman.)

Threads calling out Healers who refuse to DPS exist only because of the built in entitlement associated with that role. No one will ever argue tanks not rotating CDs or DPS doing middling damage are good players yet you will see some cry foul if you dare to criticize pure healers because "they're still healing!" In fact, arguably the most popular defense is claiming they are still good healers despite not using half their toolkit-- an excuse not afforded to the remaining two roles.

Basically, neither DPS or Tanks have a portion of the playerbase providing them an excuse to play poorly. Does that mean plenty still are awful players? Yes, but we'll call them awful players.

Why is this in the healer forum?

Also the majority of healer DPS threads are started by healer mains, we are looking in the mirror and we see the potential of the healer role to do sizable damage and then we see people not taking advantage of that.
