Then that's probably your reason. I imagine you do or at least have done quite a number of dungeons together. Next time you do a dungeon close to your level, take a look at the exp gains from mob kills. While in the open world you get this tiny fraction of exp from mob kills While in dungeons, however, you get a huge chunk per mob in comparison. So, exp gain from dungeons is (aside from daily roulettes) entirely from mob kills and is greatly increased when you have rested exp.It may actually be the bonus exp from rested exp. I often burn the rested exp on gathering/trading jobs. You get like... 50% more exp? But it only applies to mob kills not quest completions or whatever. I dunno if that's the biggest factor though because I remember chiming in on exp amount and i was sitting at 6mil where she was at 7mil. still. maybe we're killing a lot more mobs than I realize... so maybe it IS rested exp.
This also begs the question of if you, the healer, are also dpsing mobs during healing downtime. If you don't at least tag a mob (even in a dungeon) as a healer, do you get exp for the kill? I don't heal, but that might be something you should check on to make sure you're not missing out.

In dungeons, you don't need to DPS at all to gain EXP. If you're partied, the party needs to tag to gain credit (like quests). It's only special open world mobs, like hunts and FATEs, where tagging is highly suggested as a healer. You can gain credit from just healing, but tagging completely ensures it (as members that become greyed out or untarget-able don't contribute toward the healer's credit if they only heal). This also begs the question of if you, the healer, are also dpsing mobs during healing downtime. To be more specific, the bonus comes from being on a combat class that is not your highest one. If you are under 60, the bonus is 100%; if you are 60+, the bonus is 50%.If you have a job at 70, you get extra exp. There 'might' be exp difference between jobs, but I'm not sure.
It's not specifically from having one combat class at 70.
Bear in mind, this is your highest level COMBAT job. Crafting and Gathering jobs do not provide the armory bonus.
The next time you party with your boyfriend, take a look at your exp bars. If the portion of the bar indicating to-next-level is BLUE, that means you still have rested exp remaining. If you've got a lot of blue left in your bar, and your boyfriend has hardly any, that might explain why you're leveling much faster.
Additionally: Rested exp is great. Be sure that both you and your boyfriend ALWAYS log off for the day in a Sanctuary. You can tell you're in a Sanctuary by the little moon symbol by your exp bar. Sanctuaries exist in any town that has a large Aethercite - so any teleport destination. Residential housing districts are also Sanctuaries. Basically, teleport ANYWHERE, and it will put you in a Sanctuary.

My wife and me had the same ''probleme'' she was lv 50 while i was 45... I never logged out in sanctuary before I realize it was giving me rested exp. I wasn't paying attention to that. I think the bonus exp from rested exp is 100% more exp. Now I log out in sanctuaries. Sure if you spent your rested exp in other class it mean you'll get less from your main class. hope I helped
