Garlean city

When I see places like Castrum Oriens or other ones with Garlean buildings, I imagine Garlemald as a city near to a present day-like city... something different from other. I would like a to visit a Garlean city one day like Ishgard, Kugane, of the three initial ones. A present day-like city with Garlean buildings, roads... Obviously with the other cities functions like the Retainers, Levequests, Inns, Hunt boards...

Obviously, It will be impossible to do this with Garlemald itself, and if we visit Garlemald in a future, sure It will be just a final dungeon, not a city.

So, this Garlean city would be one builted by Garleans in their style after taking all Ilsabard, but currently free from Garleans by rebel Ilsabardians inspired by the Doman and Ala Mhigan revolutions.

This is what ppl have said. Garlean "based city - story" will come eventually ... it is a cool idea and something a lot of us do want

Turning cities into dungeons is such a cheap approach, it soured stormblood for me, so I really hope they don't pull that in future expansions.

That and the fact that the quarter we were allowed to visit was honestly pretty boring :/
It would have felt less dissapointing if there were more npcs to talk to and more diversity in the streets and actual houses you can enter. The layout there is fun, with all the roofs you can climb, but walking around that place just felt kind of dull. I hope even if they turn a city into a dungeon again, that we can at least explore a more exciting part of it.

The streets, alleys and avenues before the first boss should be part of the regular city, though given the look and proximity to the palace entrance, it might well be the noble's/merchant quarter.

Yes, it is. The rest of Ala Mhigo is on the southeastern part of the map. The dungeon is the palace itself. Personnel would also lodge within the palace walls (advisors, guards, physicians, the ruling house close family members, harem, et cetra).
