Never really cared for cross-overs. No thanks.
Never really cared for cross-overs. No thanks.
Realistically, unless it was for some sort of cross-promotion, a crossover isn't likely to happen (though as a MCH main, I see the marketing potential with the SAO: Fatal Bullet title coming soon, but one job/aesthetic doesn't warrant a crossover event).
That said, I do find it rather odd that people who dislike SAO feel a burning desire to broadcast that fact as loud and rudely as possible, while those who do tend to just be rather chill and nonchalant about it. There's also that rather hilarious psychological quirk where anything that becomes popular generally has an almost equally large group of people who hate it. But that's none of my business though. . .
Personally I loved the SAO setting but the story ended when the death game ended. Everything afterwards I don't consider to be SAO. That's why I like the "Progressive" series much better and just can't get myself to keep on reading after about the 15th book. So I'm neutral on this topic. Actually, I think I'm not big on any cross-overs. I guess I like a game to keep its world view intact, and just don't feel those cross-overs to fit well.
Also, I hope people would have the basic decency to realize that voicing disagreement doesn't have to include shit-talking about what other people like.

Why would you want Harem Simulator Online anywhere near FFXIV?
Aren't there enough RP guilds for that in-game already?
And this do I embark on my greatest challenge yet; surviving the repurcussions of the following sentences.
I love Sword Art Online and would relish a crossover event. I thought the fights were very well done, the characters like-able and the plot well told. I have watched the entire series multiple times and should anyone wish to hate on me now because it's trendy to hate on a show I like, well.... I don't carego scream into that uncaring void for a bit if you must.
Or, and I'm just gonna throw this out there, maaaaybe some people genuinely don't like the show? Despite what some people like to believe, some of us can make up our minds without Youtubers (I assume this is where the trend you speak of comes from?) telling us what to think.
Nope and nope sao cheep nock off of .hack nope nope nope
