Have you ever wondered... what is this symbol near your name when we queue for party finder?
Is it someone embracing something?
It looks like a welding mask to me. But i'm pretty sure it's not. lol

Looks like a ticket.
It does look like a ticket, now that it's mentioned. Why a ticket, though?
...Is it supposed to be like taking a number for your grocery store's deli and they call numbers they are serving?

When you take a ticket and wait for your number to be called, you are waiting in a queue. Thus, "queueing up" in the duty finder.
"Ul'dah can keep their dusty markets, and their streets paved in silver and gold.
Limsa Lominsa keep your pirates, and your ships covered in musty mold.
My loyalty lies with Gridania, with the Moogles and the tree spirits of old." -The Forky Conjurer
Well now all I can see is a welding mask.
Prior to this though I always thought it looked like an old school shop till/cash point.
What I don't see is a ticket. I see a small square that could be a ticket but some how it is docking with a spaceship before flying into some giant letters.
A Allagan tomestone maybe?
It is an overhead view of a person holding a clipboard/checklist.
It's a ticket stub. They're using the negative space to create that shape.
