Road to 60 : Adamantoise Server

Hello,

I started playing in the Adamantoise server a few a week ago because I was offer the option to use the Road to 60 buff. As a Returner player I didn't do much so I made this character on the new server my main.

I've heard from other people that they were taking down the road to 60 buff from other servers. Do they give a warning when they are going to do that ? are they going to let the people that got into the server get to 60?

The Road to 60 buff is for characters created on a new or preferred server. Once a server is no longer considered new or preferred the Road to 60 buff will disappear from all characters on that server.

Since the release of Stormblood (when the designation of new/preferred servers started as well as the incentives for moving to those servers) they have changed which servers are considered preferred only once.
That time they did not give any warning in advance when it happened.


The idea behind the incentives for new/preferred servers is to make people move from high-population servers to low-population servers and thereby even out the server populations. Once a low-population server has filled up enough, there is no longer any need to label it as a preferred server - more people moving to that server is no longer desired at that point.
