Eh no one is gonna care about a bunch of gamers locked in a game. I'm certain it will be a conspiracy to whittle down the population while keeping a workforce via digital slavery. XD

I'm All for VR, but say wait for the next final fantasy mmo for it. That will give them a few things.
1. The time to see where VR is going, and how they can implement it.
2. The ability to build the game around the VR system.
3. Time to allow vr to adance more.
Because then they have to support VR indefinitely which is going to be a constant resource usage. What's the ROI here? Also this game is based on clicking buttons to do fancy abilities. That's both disorienting and feels completely unnatural in VR.
Gold Saucer VR Mini game anyone?

Sword Art online references... dun know if I was locked in a game I'd probably die in the first few hours, I'm reckless like that.![]()

Different people find different things great. I am able to be fully immersed in both phone and normal VR. Is phone VR inferior to normal VR? Certainly. That I will not argue, but that doesn't mean it can't be great for some people.
White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.

Problem with phone VR in my experience is duration. Phones get too hot too fast. At least the formerly explosive Samsung Galaxy phones lol
One thing I did like about it compared to PSVR is the lack of cords, though. Wireless controller, wireless headphones, wireless headset. Tangled cords are annoying in VR
Not really. Sword art Online was like the initial launch of the game after beta so essentially it was the first wave of players that just could not log out.
I was thinking more like .Hack where people mostly randomly were encountering something in game that put them in a coma ;3

That sci-fi anime version have headgears capable to send signals directly to the brain, while our reality is just an helmet with stereoscopic vision and audio.
The only damages you can get may be the audio too loud (for ears) and the known photosensitive epilepsy that may happen even on our usual monitors.
About XIV as VRMMO, I think it is more likely we will get in the future a new FF title tailored for it, because XIV wasn't made for VR and adaptation of a game to things they are not planned from the start, aren't that good (and simple) as something done with VR in mind from the start. Just think at flying, new maps have it but adaptation of old maps to flying is something the devs are thinking about, but requiring much work and even them dunno if it will ever be made.

That is not something I will even try to deny. My HTC One M8s, even using Facebook, gets so hot I can cook a lalafell on it and cook it to a heat that the lalafell is safe to eat. If I tried to hold it for an extended period without the case on I'm sure I'd end up literally burning my hand... >_<
