Cover + Awareness pair up pretty well, as Frey pointed out, so this is a pretty smart way of going about things (unless your OT needs the action slot for Interject to silence the Iron Giant). You could Cover + Hollowed the Apanda if you really wanted to, the Apanda is probably going to be dead by the time the Critical Hit goes off anyways. The pummel that you'd actually want covered is the one that occurs immediately after Folio + Hammers, but it happens like 15s before the Critical Hit, and you shouldn't need tank stance for it either way.
