Trolls and jerks using Roll for Items as a shield.

I'm getting really sick and tired of trolls and people being rude intentionally opening chests and not rolling on items to shield them from being kicked from the instance. It's happened many many times to me. I would suggest a much shorter loot roll timer, maybe only 60 or 120 seconds. I don't think like 400 seconds or whatever it is should be in place.

Oh god yes the loot timer needs to be a lot shorter. It would also stop people making you wait on purpose at the end of a run. Too bad if a person loses their connection right then and can't get back in time to roll. It's unlikely and not good enough reason to keep long timers. Reducing the timer will eventually build up to hours of time saved that people would have used to stall you at the end of a run, or yes shield from vote kick. If people can't be bothered to click the loot button in a timely manner then maybe give them an auto-pass option so they are never given an opportunity to roll on anything that instance? There can be a text warning when entering a new instance to remind them that they have auto pass all loot turned on, in case they forget to change it back. Lots of people know for sure that they never want any drops from old content due to inv space or not bothered about seal exchange.

yes add an auto pass list so you will pass on items you dont need and if you let the timer run down just pass the item not auto loot it

Agreed to the OP. Nothing gets on my nerves more than people who sit and sit and sit and wait and wait and wait to roll on items in raids and/or primals.

For the mid-dungeon chests, it can be tough to roll immediately if you want to compare the item to what you already have, but you're in the midst of combat at the time. Few parties will wait for loot distribution before moving on into the next fight. I think that's why it gives you a while, and on those mid-dungeon chests it does kind of need to.

It's mostly on the final boss's chest where the wait for it gets to be an issue. So maybe the timer for just that one could be a bit shorter.

eh...I'm pretty sure it doesn't take more than 300 seconds to right click > compare item.

The actual time to compare the item to what's in my armoury chest usually only takes a few seconds, but that's still longer than I'd let my character stand still in the midst of a running fight, so it has to wait until the fighting is over. That's why I specified that the concern applies only to the the MID dungeon chests, because it's the remainder of the run and all the fights involved that can take a few minutes. Of course, if the party doesn't mind waiting a moment to check if I already have something (or a better alternative to it), then I'll roll before we move on to the next fight. But most parties want to go right into the next fight immediately, and loot rolls have to wait for a lull in the action.
