Tanks have DRK and DPS have a wide assortment of anxt. when are we gonna get our time in the darkness? It may sound silly to be sure but I truly wish we had at least one class that wasn't rainbows and sparkles every time we healed.

Salt Mage. Oh wait, every healer is playing one already :3
We have healer DPS threads.
All the angst you could ever eat =(
~ WHM / badSCH / Snob ~ http://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/character/871132/ ~
Time mage?
Heals by reversing the damage dealt.
Could be a mix of Whm and Sch, by that i mean can grant weak shields and semi-potent regen but grants the unique abilty to "heal" TP and MP.
You may ask "how can this be edgy?", simple the job quests could involve some poor sod (black hair covering one eye is mandatory) trying to come to terms with rapidly ageing some one they cared about to death in some accident, this results in a person that pushes people away (yet somehow not you).
Simple, a edgy dark healer that kills people by rapidly ageing them. If Square soft let this pass i would be amazed.
~I'm a strong independent Black mage who don't need no mana~
That time mage you're describing is Astrologian.
At least, that's what it was at the beginning.
There's also a notion of "time" with celestial opposition and time dilatation.
Stars, time and space...
And a mix of whm and scholar
Cards for regen and buff
A healer who uses TP because why not. LOL
I would love to see a non spell based healer that uses science and surgery. Someone equiped with a scalpel and medicinal remedies. It would be cool if their cast time was the preparation of medicinal tools. An Alchemist would probably be the closest comparison from Final Fantasy History and the ability to use TP would be neato but Piety is exclusively a healer thing so I doubt we'll see a non magic based healing class.
I've always thought a necromancer type healer would be cool.
(Uses a lantern/commands souls maybe?)
I play both and healer role definitely generates more angst. As a tank i look mostly at mobs and bosses - how to position them right, how to mitigate etc. Healers look at the party list and they can't avert they eyes from those bard w/o Straight Shot and dragoon who constantly forgets to reapply their buff. At the people standing in all sorts of shit. At the tank who use all their CDs simultaneously or pulls three packs in Deliverance.I've seen more salty tanks than healers
And when healer says something in line of "hey can you please use this and not stand in that" its usually a shitstorm. Last time i said to a tank that skeleton in Sirensong can be stunned to avoid his draw in - aoe attack they laughed, said that its a cross-role and they doesnt need it anyway... and then both them and their BLM friend proceed to stand in all aoes at last boss just for the lulz and i think they meant to kick me after wipe. Well, we still killed the boss despite that... but the salt was real.
