I actually get kicked out of DF groups just for boosting?

My friends wanted me to catch up with them on this character to play through Stormblood with them, and I was still a bit in HW because my work schedule has insane hours. I said screw it, and bought a boost for the DRK since I loved the gameplay of it and aesthetic and finished out HW tanking. ( should also mention I quit for about a year after HW came out because of personal issues )

I get to stormblood, and I do the first dungeon you unlock there and I get into the group and the only thing I see is ' lol nope, not gonna happen ' in the party chat and then i'm vote kicked.

is there really a stigma against boosted characters? Granted, I'm not the best tank around, but I can keep hate on me quite easily, and I haven't had many wipes throughout most of the instances I've ran.

Did you get kicked without even doing a single pull?

In that case, there's no stigma, this is a really rare situation that can unfortunatly happen.
However, if the player is performing extremely bad so that it's almost impossible to make one step without dying or else and people notice he bought the potion, yes there might kick these people.

You can't even vote kick in DF until at least 5 minutes has elapsed.

Are you sure that was the reason you were kicked? Did a pull go horribly wrong or something? There has to be more to the story since you can't kick a person out of a duty until at least 5 minutes have elapsed.

Sorry, I should've clarified, english isn't my first language so I do apologize. I was in the dungeon for at least 10 mins, and I did pull mobs forwards and I will admit that I did pull more than I intended, but I did pop CD's, and I did health regen rotations as well. Just out of the blue, the healer just said that and kicked me. I was in full out shire gear from the boost itself, so my gear wasn't the problem. Didn't die, or did any of the mobs move towards the DPS or healer in any way.

From your description, it sounds like you were fulfilling your role fine, though it's possible you're doing something incorrectly without realizing it's a problem. Either way, assuming they kicked you for gameplay reasons, they should have at least mentioned what they thought you were doing wrong. If it's something as simple as overpulling, a quick "slow down" would have probably solved the issue. Just suddenly kicking you seems unnecessarily harsh.

It could be because you boosted, but I doubt it. I don't see any trend of kicking boosters if they're not causing problems due to inexperience.

It's alright, no worries. ^^ It honestly could have been that you got a healer that didn't want to deal with larger pulls, either out of laziness or out of not being geared enough (though from the sound of their comment, if that's what they actually said, then it was probably just out of laziness). I'm sorry you had to deal with that, but generally, so long as potion users are receptive to advice and/or criticisms to better perform, then parties generally don't care about if they jumped or not. At least, in my experience.

Doesn't sound like you did enough for a vote kick to be justified and you came across people who have no patience to adapt to a situation. Probably not related to character boosting and they just had a preference for easier small pulls.

The first dungeon for Stormblood? The ghost island one (forgot name)? That one is extremely simple even if there was a bad tank I don't see how that is enough to kick for. It would be annoying at worst, but I probably wouldn't kick. Either way, it doesn't matter you are a tank, you will get another queue instantly.

Seems to me a combo of 1/ not being primary E speaking (F/D have such a wonderful reputation you know ) 2/ not being overgeared (like most of us are now) and thus forcing healer to actually heal over dpsing ...
