    Even their standard maintenances take 3-4. Hotfixes they generally apply without anyone realizing it happened though. Their next patch, 7.3, comes out tomorrow and it's going to take 8 hours for them to complete. Chances are the game will crash or there will be login issues, prompting them to take the game down again for at least another hour to stabilize it. Wouldn't be the first time and won't be the last.

    wow is and was nowhere as stable as this game generally is

    I remember the days when every. single. tuesday. the game would be down for the better part of the day..during prime time even. Only in the most recent couple of years has this stopped happening to a 10+ year old game now. Man, people sure have short memories.
