DPS reader on PS4

I know a few months ago there was a rumor they was going to release some kind of DPS gauge to the UI so you would be able to tell your numbers.

I know it's a touchy subject because there's 1337ist out there. But I'd like something on PS4 that tells you your numbers. And not just standing still doing your rotation to a target dummy thats the same lvl as the boss.

I know I'd gladly pay like 5 or 10 dollars for a add on that gives me my dps in number form so I can see where I'm lacking in my rotations.

But anyway for that to come into game or not?

Us Ps4 players can only pray and hope...however considering SE avoids parsers like the plague it's not likely we'll ever be getting it.

This is problematic though because there is a HUGE portion of PC players that use this, along with fflogs, as a screening tool for pugs and static recruitment, where they will only decide to pick you up if you have good numbers on fflogs. What if you're an amazing player on ps4 and have no fflogs? Well too bad for you better look elsewhere. Now i dont share this mentality, however many static recruitments will use this as a screening tool to only get the players with the "best" numbers. Whereas if they are on PC, they can simply clear the fight multiple times, each run better than the last (since they can actually see how much they're doing), basically boosting their numbers. So what they're worried about happening with the addition of parsers is already happening.

PC players get to boost their numbers with constant uploads, as well as seeing how much damage they are exactly doing for every encounter, while Ps4 players are left in the dark with all of it. Like you said sure there's stone sea sky but that's not a very accurate representation of how you'll be doing in a real boss fight scenario.

By not allowing PS4 players a parser, it's only creating a bigger divide between the players on either platform. I do hope they add something like this so it can be at least a little more fair for us on the ps4 side
