Right, so, spoilers for anyone who hasn't completed all the sidequest chains in the Fringes.

What are those creepy giant yellow orbs on the tree? Are they a product of Black Rose contamination, or simply some really disgusting nest or hive or Erle's eggs? For that matter, is the fog in Dimwold natural, or another product of Black Rose?

And lastly, more of a geography question, but what's with the rock formation in the northwestern part of the map? The one that's just to the right of the Wall, very far in the distance? It looks like a massive beam just cut through a mountain. What caused that? Was it recent? Did Omega create that by crashing through the mountain?

They're probably growths caused by the Black Rose contaminating the soil, yes.

Yes the fog in Dimwold is natural. The sightseeing log entry for the area says as much.

Yes the damage to the mountain was caused by Omega. It lines up with the hole to the Interdimensional Rift.
