OP is able to write in a understandable way but has trouble matching the numbers on the floor with the letters because of dyslexia? Doesn't make sense.
As much as I agree that in the future SE should probably take dyslexia into account when creating things like this, you're blowing it way out of proportion. You're not being discriminated against and you can literally just ask someone, anyone for the answers to the puzzle. Not a huge deal.

I mean, I have dyscalculia and I never noticed the number thing so I guess I got lucky? lol. Jesus, some of the replies in this thread though. "Discrimination is part of the natural order" uhh, what?
Not that I'm sticking up for OP because they literally could just ask for help instead of making this thread.

I'm partially blind. I have been all my life. This means that I not only do not have the same field of vision as other players, but I also don't have much in the way of normal depth perception. I get something similar by way of environmental cues and context, but it's not the same as how normal people see.
One of the hardest fights in this game for me was Nidhogg Extreme. During the fireball phase near the end, it appeared to me that all fireballs were in a straight line, even though they were in a pattern. I had to spin my camera angles around rapidly to get some sense of their location, but as you know if you've done the fight, you have to move very quickly and I didn't have the luxury to make those accommodations for myself.
I also didn't want to impact my teammates' ability to clear the fight. I very nearly gave up on it, resigned that I'd never clear.
Finally, I reached out to the Facebook server group, explaining the situation and asking if anyone could help me. Some very kind people stepped up, said that I could mark them during the fight, and follow them when the fireballs appear. I learned how to judge how and when to move purely by learning certain timing in the battle.
What I didn't do, is demand that Square Enix redesign the fight for me, or make it so that future fights didn't affect those with depth perception problems. I hear Sephirot Ex is equally difficult for people who are red/green colorblind because of the colors of the different sections in the battle. They are able to adjust, just as I was, by asking others for help, and also noting the symbols, rather than the color of the floor effects.
SE has made leaps and bounds making this game accessible for as large of an audience as possible. Can more be done? Of course. I once saw a Youtube video of a guy executing a perfect machinist rotation using his feet.
None of these relate to letters and numbers, but you must realize that, in trying to make the event appeal to as large of an audience as possible, it's also possible that some feel marginalized. I wouldn't call it discrimination, since it wasn't done with malicious intent.
This is just a little game. It's a puzzle. It's not something you must pass in order to enjoy the game. You can ask for help, just as I did. And understand that there may, in the future, be some things you cannot do. I will never reach the top of Kugane tower because jumping puzzles and limited depth perception go together like peanut butter and egg rolls.
I'm okay with that. I'm not down here rallying that SE should build an elevator. This event was not designed with dyslexia/dyscalculia in mind. Even a company as large as SE cannot possibly accommodate every single condition of every single player for every single quest. You do what you can, when you can, with others who are willing to help, and you keep on keeping on.

While I think OP's discrimination claim is pretty overdramatic, its a little disheartening that your post has so many likes. I have mild dyslexia but its very easy for me to hide it on forums because I can copy/paste anything I type into spellcheck then again into a program that reads it back to me. Catch me in game or on discord and its a whole nother story >>;
Yep, I got the same in the thread I made, several posts got deleted. While I think OP's discrimination claim is pretty overdramatic, its a little disheartening that your post has so many likes. Do you have any issues with the likes of:
?The absolute worst thing about this in the game are the Zhloe quest items and materials. I have a auditory processing disorder and "Maelstrom Materiel" " Maelstrom Materiel Component Materials" "Maelstrom Materiel Component" make my head hurt. The way they name things in this game sometimes can be terribly clunky.
Regardless I am curious what a convo be like between the 2 of us on discord XD Since I have problems like this I am somewhat skilled in knowing what people mean (or maybe cuz it looks normal to me?????????????????)

Has it come to the point that letters are offensive now? Better check my literacy privilege!

This has got to be the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen.
All you do is match the numbers to the letter spots, least that is how mine was set up:
For some reason despite that and taking my time, I did mix up something and got it wrong the first attempt, I do not even know why.
Just wondering though have you had issues with any of the following shown in this thread:
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...e-per-lifetime
I have Dyslexia (obviously I made the linked thread) and not only did I figure out the puzzle on my own (taking the SS helped) but I was able enter the PW after one mistake (though I did go slowly both times and the first attempt, to me, was the same as the second) Even with all that i do feel the TC makes strong absolutes that are no good.

It's pretty 2017 that people would pounce on a quest in a MMO for discriminating.......even though the company actually put measure in place to avoid it, even for your dyslexia.
Please. Stop this thread? It's useless.
