QoL Wish (for fans of FFXI's music)

Hello, all! ^^

So, I'm at work and listening to random songs from FFXI, and I found myself wishing I could have the option to play these while roaming around Eorzea.

I would love to see a FF15 style music player that allows us to hear FF11 songs play over the normal BGM. I don't see why it wouldn't be possible, and I don't think it would cause any strain on the game's processing requirements (and wouldn't take a huge amount of development resources in my estimation).

While I do like FF14's music overall (and some songs are supremely excellent), FF11 has a truly transcendent musical score that reverberates with me to this day (and I know I'm not the only one).

Anyways, just a thought. Have fun everyone.

Started XI in 06, and still have an active sub today... that music truly was amazing. Look up Distant Worlds and New Worlds concerts, if their coming anywhere near you I'd HIGHLY recommend them... amazing stuff there

Love the idea, but I wouldn't limit it to just FF11 I'd want to listen to other FF's, including the non-main ones. (I'm probably alone in this, but I wouldn't mind some FF Crystal Chronicles BGM - I love me some Monster's Dance)

Well, there are already several FFXI tracks in FFXIV's client (that were used during the two FFXI special events), but SE did mention a while ago that it's not that simple to use tracks from other FF games as they see fit (presumably due to intellectual property with Uematsu no longer being directly employed by SE), they may look into adding such music to the Orchestrion as paid DLC on the Mogstation:

It's difficult for us to add songs that are not used in FFXIV, but it might be possible to add these in as optional items.

Either way, as a long time FFXI player I agree there was some absolutely beautiful music in FFXI - so being able to listen to it in FFXIV would be a real bonus.

I would love this so much. specially if you get set a certain ffxi song for each zone. so you get town music in towns and stuff. also would LOVE the cutscene music from FFXI (recollection and sorrow are so hauntingly beautiful)
