Perhaps what is really needed is for this thread to start something along the lines of the 'support remaking all the zones' thread that got the developers attention. If everyone started listing the elements they want to see in endgame it might get things rolling. I want to add that at this point I don't think anyone considers the current content endgame unless its 'end of version 1.0.' We're one or two level caps increases away from seeing real endgame.

I like the way Limbus and Einherjar made you complete certain objectives in order to enter the next zone in the chain.

The way you had to achieve specific conditions to move between floors in Limbus and Nyzul.

The way Salvage made you fight without any of the gear you had earned up until that point, and made the leader prioritize who got what gear slots unlocked.

In Sky and Sea how you had to navigate a maze, open doors to get to a NM spawn to get drops to pop the gods.

Boss fights that require players to be 100% in doing their jobs, and which take good leadership skills to coordinate.

Killing specific NMs in the zone to pop the boss NM.

I want endgame items that require large amounts of gil, drops from endgame areas, titles, clearing BCNM, and obtaining crafted items to obtain. They should have a good story quest and lore to go with them. Think Mythic weapon quests here.

I didn't like the mindless kill X number of this mob Y number of that mob and Z number of this other one to progress through magian. Magian was good in concept, but what was good was more along the lines of the NM's for the empyrean weapons.

While dynamis remains my favorite event the four hour time commitment was a bit much for people. It made it hard to keep people attending.

Instances are a must so multiple shells/companies can do the same event at the same time.

Competitive fights like the Kings, or Charbydis are a must as well as special NM pops like the one for O Hat.

It would have been neat if in sky the God spawns were where other shells could watch the fight but not interfere sort of like an Arena. That would have been epic in sky to fight in a floating area where the people waiting there turn could sit and watch.

The Ark Angels fight was awesome as was Bahamut.

Most of all it needs to be fun. Some of my best memories are actually of wipes where everyone took the XP loss and kept getting back up and throwing themselves at the NM so the shell didn't loose the pop set. It was all about dedication to your group of friends, and the hard knocks were a small price to pay.
