Issues Connecting to anything FF

Hi

This morning I am having problems connecting to anything related to FF, the forums, not station and more annoyingly the game.

The website says this site can't be reached and the game launcher gives me an error along the lines of

A error has occurred -2146697211 http://frontier.ffxiv.com/version_4_win (and lots more letters)

I've reset my router and nothing has changed, check with a few FC mates and they are having similar problems, two of us are on Virgin Media and one is BT. Others not in the U.K. Are connecting fine

I guess it's a routing problem?

Having the exact same issue here - was playing FF11 for around 2 hours this morning when I got booted around half 9, attempted to log back in to 11 "couldn't connect" so tried FF14 blank patcher and same error as you so went to account/mog station/official forums and all failed to load - haven't done any updates today just suddenly stopped all other games/sites work as normal - all official websites and games fail to connect when on wifi had to walk up the street and post this on 3G as service is terrible in my house! Puzzling!

Seems to have resolved itself now, i can get on here using my PC instead of my phone and the game was stable enough for Expert Roulette!

Try this and follow it step by step. Had the same problem just an hour ago and solved it with this.

When do a check says host requests a time out and don't use a router so that can't be the problem. also all my network is up to date. Didn't start to happening till that last patch 4.06 then every few minutes disconnect. Maybe they have a virus in it that's causing it. Before the patch never disconnected once from the server host if did was from my internet being down for upgrades.
