Link? Sounds funny as heck. This reminds me of a thread in Reddit saying that some jp guy went online to rage about the situation as you are in now. So the community all dressed in white raided the FC's house and stayed until the static leader made a public apology. The vid is funny as hell. And yeah, I feel you. That's why I don't join statics.

Sounds to me like you dodged a bullet. Any FC or Static that treats people as expendable probably isn't one you really want to be part of to begin with.
I agree - you dodged a bullet there. Good luck searching for a new group! People can be such jerks.
If anyone is curious, they should look it up themselves. Don't post fflogs links - you can get a forum ban.

Yup.. don't you just love it when people start harassing someone because they didn't get let into someone's little club? This reminds me of a thread in Reddit saying that some jp guy went online to rage about the situation as you are in now. So the community all dressed in white raided the FC's house and stayed until the static leader made a public apology. The vid is funny as hell. And yeah, I feel you. That's why I don't join statics.
You're probably not the only one; but at the end of the day, who cares?I can't be the only one this has happened to, recently, my previous static decided to disband (one player was deployed, and another just plain lost interest, the lead, who's actually a personal friend hasn't even been online since)
At the time we were just fresh into o3s.
Here I am, not a week later and i'm already onto o4s Neo progression, this leads into my topic; Lying to players to fill your sub spots for the night.
This has already happened to me once in the past week, where I was "trialed" for my role, then the next day, the group was full in discord and i was removed with a pm from the raid lead stating "thanks for covering yesterday, but our main is back." to which all replies were blocked (go figure.)
Now I'd be more understanding if the explanation was "You didn't make the cut" but "Our main is back" is bs.
The entire time, I was fed lines about being made the permanent WHM of the static, and tonight, i'm expecting the same to happen with my "current" group seeing as the discord was filled up and neither me, nor the other healer being "trialed" were invited to the group. With not a word from the lead. Feelsbadman ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You had a night in the dungeon with them, and you weren't invited back... okay? I'm failing to see what the problem is. From your story, this was a PuG situation that they started saying they wanted to make permanent, and then didn't; Pull up your adult pants and move on.
But how do you know they are lying? What if their other healer had a change of heart and did come back?
What if the reason they were looking for a healer was because their healer had an argument with someone and left, but then after the fire cooled down a little they kissed and made up?
I mean... Did you actually start stalking them to try and find out if they were lying? That just gets creepy and is probably worse than a white lie.

I would find a good raiding FC to join. I dont understand the desire to run with small statics.

There will always be crappy people out there on the the internet. It's nothing to feel bad about and definitely don't take it personally. The best thing you can do is simply brush it off and move on.

Look on the positive side of things:
You got a clear for Os3 and have some practise at Os4, and you are more informed as to which statics contain scumbags to avoid. Win/win.

This is one of the reasons it'd be nice if they could adopt WoW's system for any raid below mythic (which in XIV's terms is any raid below Super Savage)...
You can have anywhere from 9-30 players in a raid (IIRC) and the raid will automatically balance the mechanics accordingly.
Obviously, they'd need to make some of the encounter areas a bit larger if raids were going to scale to 24 players or something, but it would solve the age-old problem of having people with weird schedules that cannot commit to a static on a regular basis.
My fiancee is actually in this boat: we're basically never going to do any Savage raiding in SB because her work schedule isn't consistent enough for it, and it's not fair to ask a static to get a sub 50% of the time, or you wind up with crappy situations like the OP experienced. :\
