I have never, nor will I ever over meld progression gear, there's absolutely no point for me to, I'm not in a hardcore raiding group, we're rather casual, and that extra amount of stats won't help me progress further in any content I've done. I don't even bother to get the crafting gear. That being said, I'm not about to sit here and tell people to get rid of a system that others use just because I myself don't use it, or because I happen to hate said system.

Gear progression is up to the player, and crafted gear will always be 10-20 ilvls below current raiding gear that is either dropped or bought with the current currency. I'm not sure how this affects you in anyway or why you would want to change it now. If your raid group is forcing you to get the crafted gear and overmeld it, then that's a discussion you need to have with them, not take it to the forums because you got upset over what was done in your own personal group.
