Adding traps on archer makes sense, with the combo system

Archer have to be at a distance of 8 yalm for they combo to work.
Most of the time you guess and hope that you are 8 yalm or so.
I understand that as you play more you start to guess the distance correctly.
But wouldn't it be better to give archer traps to they arsenal in order to do that?

you have to be at at least 8 yalms. all it does is makes sure you arent right next to the mob when u use the weapon skill..... pretty much means archer cant solo combos. but i dont think any job can except mages cuz other combos involve being on a certain side of the mob

I didn't realize Archer's have a problem triggering combos when soloing. =\


Just a side note, as a Pugilist I don't have a problem moving to the left, right or behind of a mob. It just comes down to timing and quick reflexes.

Just turn off Autotarget and kite the mob away. It's not hard to do, but you need to practice where you need to stand after you think you're far enough. Not to mention some mobs run much faster than others (like raptors) so this strategy doesnt always work.

I've tried this before. In the time it takes me to do that I could have killed the mob already. I dunno why they wanted to make it a pain for Arc to solo and combo.

I know Lancer can solo combo as well as the other classes mentioned previously.

I'm pretty sure all the classes can solo combo. PGL, GLA, and LNC have stun moves to help them get the side and back attacks.

I have no problem binding the mob then taking distance to use my combo when playing solo, it takes some getting used to but it's not that bad imo, just be careful you aren't running around too much where other mobs may agro.
