the current UI isnt all that bad, i like the almost frameless UI which blends in nicely but has some flaws. but there is room for improvement simple things that UIs should have. please list anything you also might think of that might improve gaming comfort.
~unable to lock the UI. this is really a simple fix under menu > setting > UI: lock/unlock would be good. while the UI is unlocked a grid will show up with a center X, Y. this way players can line up widgets that usually dont show up like target bar, stamina/cast bar, battle regiment, etc... when this is locked the grid goes away and the widgets are unable to move with the exception to chat window. which the current way to resize chat window is fine, simple easy access with out the hassle of accidently moving the window it self.
~chat window scroll bar is currently located on the right side of the chat window which is default for most programs, but for the default chat window location, scroll bar should always be on the outter side of the window from vertical center. even though some people are use to the text box being always at the bottom of the window and i cant say i am not one of these people, but the text box should also be at the top/bottom furtherest away from horizontal center.
~party HP bar height is rather thin and isnt adjustable, even healers that pay more attention to HP bars end up paying less attention to field position changes. monsters that AoE may come to close un-noticed, or not notice monster attacking them till they are already on top of them. making the HP bar thicker may make things easier to glance over and other players might notice earlier when some players like healers are in trouble earlier where they are able to assist faster.
~does spells really need Area of Effect (AoE) toggling for every spell cast? how about something similar to the battle regiment system where there is a UI visual and key binding to toggle AoE on or off. a similar icon as the BR on the right side of the command bar for AoE visual might be nice.
Key Binding
~key bindings that dont show up under key binding. good example is mouse scroll zooming. this key bind does not show up under camera key binding and unable to unassigned this. there is many key binding currently assigned that are unable to reassign to other locations or drop the key bind all together. even though in earlier patch was stated that we now have full keyboard key binding with the exception to ESC. i find it hard to assign keys that i cant even relocate or unassign.
~unable to "Unassigned key binding" button which drops currently selected binding. right now it is the shuffle game you need to move key binding A to location B to free that key bind for another function but even if you move the key binding it is still assigned somewhere and Shift+key isnt an option. currently there isnt a way to unassign any key binding
~customize key binding for command bar and macros. players that primarily use macro might want to make 1 through 0 default for macros rather then command bar this also applies to players that like to use F1 through F10 as a secondary bar like for second page for macros or command bar. basically there needs to be more options for key binding. since Ctrl and Alt are default for macros adding option for shift+key
~Shift+ Ctrl+ Alt+ currently you can not use any of these as options in key bindings. maybe i want to reassign "Ctrl+R" for reply to just "R". Shift+WASD to replace arrow buttons navigation while in the menu.
~mouse scroll functions like to cycle through command bar buttons or shift+mouse scroll to cycle through command bar pages. i might want to also have the option to hold down Ctrl to cycle through macros. mouse scrolling through party window to choose target for heals is also nice. either way more key binding fuctions
