Are collectibles list always changing?

Hi guys, are collectibles list always changing? I was collecting Mitsuriku Shark to turn in and now suddenly it's not there anymore. Is there a way to control it, meaning, should i submit different collectibles to that at the next reset, the next one will be the Sharks that I want? Already 2 cycles past I haven't seen the shark again, and i have over 20 in my retainers ready for turn in.

The list changes daily. Check you timers window to see when the reset time is in your time zone. There's no way to influence what shows up in the list, it's random. Best thing you can do at this point is hold on to your items and keep an eye out for them to show up again.

Thank you for this insight. So it's a 24 hour reset yes? I'll just keep an eye daily.

Yes. They reset at the same time as GC turnins (it's around 3PM central standard time).

Yes, I have done this before. When levelling my Cul from 60-70 I was making Loquat Juice for Leve turnins but I had unfortunately left Collectable Synthesis turned on and made 10 before I even realized what I had done. I stuck them in my retainer and sure enough, about 5 days later, it was a Red Scrip turnin item.

Well darn, every time i have gathered the main item i usually would get (Imperial Jade if i recall) was always there, the other day i went to turn in and it was not there.
I had a dozen or so but needed inventory space so tossed them out as i thought in the update they removed it from turn in.

I do not recall in HW it being like so, Imperial Jade was always a turn in for Red Script

It's a bit of both. There are statics and dynamics. That said, fishing has the largest expanded list of items they could choose from but even fishing, the fish that can be collected as collectable is pretty small. I have collectable Cherubfish that I got because of unexplored fishing spots and they aren't on my list but I expect them to be eventually.
