Increasing damage scaling on healers and tanks would be great. Jobs in 4.X are feeling a little too pared down.

They have never said this. They say the fights are (edit) not (end edit) tuned with healer dps in mind. They have NEVER said they don't like healer DPS.

They have in fact stated that they have tuned things without healer dps in mind, repeatedly. The only situation they have cited where healer dps is possibly necessary is when parties try to push an instance beyond the minimum requirements of the given fight (I.e. First world clears of savage before the minimum Ilvl requirement of the party has been met). Don't go spreading misinformation when you don't know what you're talking about. Also, Yoshi P has gone on interviews to say that he doesn't like the "healer dps is mandatory" mentality. So there you have it.

Hell yes to healer DPS. Every little bit helps, and now you can't complain when I give into the voices and get my Fell Cleavus on.

Had some trouble finding the interview again, but here it is : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...NwqZTwPUw/edit
It's question 3 : and it is interesting because Mr Happy is actually asking if the modification on INT and MND is an incentive for healers to DPS.
What they don't like is not the fact that people are doing it - they don't mind about it at all, they do understand it's necessary to win first-clear races - it's the fact that some people (toxic people) are making it mandatory and an instant kick. So many times do you see people talking like they're playing in top tier guilds and asking a lot from others.... when most of the time they don't even have a clue of how to correctly play their part, and are just emulating the top tier to look cool...
I don't really care about healer dps.
I do care about how engaged the healer is. If healing isn't necessary for 1+ GCDs, they should cast something, and often that something should be dps.
I won't make an issue of it, but won't comm them either.
What I took from that interview is that healer dps isn't mandatory, but if people want to do it, that's fine too. Different play styles and all. Hell, even not a few questions later, Yoshi says healer dps might be needed for lower ilvl (read: world first) groups, so he's contradicting himself. Problem is, No matter what Yoshi says, the players build their own perceptions. If the players see there's a ton of low damage going out or downtime, they want healers to be doing something. And perception, as they say, is reality.Had some trouble finding the interview again, but here it is : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...NwqZTwPUw/edit
