I am pretty much exclusively Dragoon and melee DPS.

I kept the default traits SE set: Increased Damage, Increased TP regen and...I forget the third, is it reduced damage? Whatever the default is for melee DPS is what I left it at. For additional actions I chose recuperate (self heal) and sprint.

I have that as my setup because I am currently only spamming frontlines for the mounts. Since your team loses points when you die, survival is very important, thus recuperate is way too important not to have. I can never depend on having a good healer, and I might be solo at times going for ices, so I have to have that survivability boost from a self heal. Sprint is also too good not to have for melee DPS - it is both an offensive and defensive ability that can secure your survival or secure a kill.

I want the DPS traits because as a Dragoon my goal is to avoid taking damage altogether, and I want max DPS for those ices. When there are mass battles in the middle of the field, my best bet is to hang back and watch for any enemies stupid enough to walk into our line, or watch our ranged DPS's targets and help snipe and burst them with jumps and spear throws. So I keep safe in the back and snipe burst targets and otherwise protect our ranged from hapless melee who decide to venture that far in, and I otherwise keep my eyes glued on the minimap at the passing of each minute to see what new ices spawn. As a Dragoon I am by far top sustained DPS for ices and whenever possible I should make ices my priority.

As soon as I hit 200 frontlines wins I will start doing feast, and that will probably require a different setup.
