    Square Enix Software Token doesn't work very well with Android Oreo

    I currently use a Pixel phone on TMobile and recently updated to Android Oreo 8.0.0 on 9/7/17.

    When I attempted to log in yesterday, it was giving me password errors. I assumed that it might've had something to do with the upgrade to the new OS on my phone, so I uninstalled the application, removed the authentication from my account and redid the entire process. It worked and I was able to log in afterwards with no issue.

    I try to log in again today and the same thing happened. I cannot log in with using the one time passcode generated by my phone. Once again I've removed the application from my phone and the additional security on my account. So far I've not yet reapplied the security options on my account and logged in without it no issues.

    There may be something going on between the OS and the app that's assuming I'm on a new device every time I start up the app on my phone. Not entirely sure. I suspect that I can only log in once with the passkey, before I have to go through the removal process all over again.
