It gets a lot more complex later on when you need to add in Hagakure (which removes your Sen and can change you combos up)and Shinten. You also want to make sure Higanbana is up at all times and is buffed by Shifu and Jinpu at least. Then there's having to keep an eye on your buffs to make sure they don't drop, while avoiding Sen overlap and finding thr optimal time to use Meikyo.

It is the most difficult class to play? No, but there's a huge difference between someone who just spams the three combos and Midare and someone who uses all their tools.
