Monsters elemental weaknesses

We all know about the elemental wheel as followed:


What I'm asking myself as a conjurer/thm all the time which type of element the mob type in front of me is like.
and it makes a real big difference which type of element i chose against a monster. it can make the difference between 1000- 250 damage

Is there any web page which puts the different monster types into different categories/tables like "earth based, wind based, darkness based" etc?
that would be really helpful.

well i always trying it out myself and sometimes its obvious which type of element they are "ibex (stone based), dragons (fire based) etc." but sometimes you arent that sure or i do forget about it. And sometimes its unclear which element is the best (evil eyes for example)
and unfortunatley there is no "analyse" skill in that game



is there any site which offers a table like it and you can recommend?

The information is out there, I see elements/resistances listed on mob information pages on sites like Eorzeapedia all the time, though I havent seen a master list anywhere yet.

You are right, there is no master list but Lerend is also right, the info is on Eorzeapedia. The problem is Eorzeapedia is still not user friendly (IMHO) and I end up Google-ing whatever mob I'm fighting, then clicking the Eorzeapedia link and finding out. Some entries show the weakness, most just show the mob's element and you have to look at the chart to find the weakness.

tl:dr Someone/Eorzeapedia should make a one page mob element/elemental weakness chart.

When doing a quick Google search, I keep ending up on FFXIV Core's elemental weakness, but it seems to just be a port of FFXI elemental weaknesses.

No update on beastmen. But between Eorzeapedia and this picture the OP posted (I keep losing the notes I took from the Thaumaturge book), one may be able to assemble something.

i usually just test all my bottom tier spells til i get the one that hits hardest

yeah im doing almost the same... but i want to be more specialized ... when i see a wolf that i can say "well they are weak against earth" etc. pp. i often forget about those weaknesses all the time .

and if i can work me through a whole list of some kind of that, i think i will keep it more easy in my mind.
i mean in every FF game we have a list of specific information about the type of mob.

Although when we cross class spells, aren't they usually a lot weaker? It may be the enemy I was casting it against was resistant to one of those elements or there's a different type of damage calculation, but may try again.

one thing that helps is i set one of my text logs to only log damge i perform on targets, that way i can see it better

I really miss the FFXI wheel.

It made much more sense than this.
