Goblins did summon Alexander. And Tonberry aren't bestmean, they're cursed men. They have no deity, just hatred until you lvl up an SCH.

Yup, it's all about cognition. And keep in mind that those summoned aren't REAL anyway. It can be anything you have in mind and you just put a name on it. So far beast tribes just put the name of their deity on what they summon, just like Shinryu; it has no beast tribe, no name, so we chose something for him that would correspond.
