The fight didn't really allude to him being a primal, and his presentation there makes that seem... unlikely. Had it played out a bit differently, I could have seen him as another Odin, but not so much now.
Could still be a trial, but not really a primal in my eyes...
Another thought that I've had though, is bringing back an old primal in a new form. Not as in the Normal->Hard->Ex manner, that is, but an entirely new encounter.
We know that the form a primal takes is based on the beliefs of those that summon it, so it would be interesting seeing a splinter faction of one of the tribes attempt their own summoning with an entirely different interpretation of their "God".
The Ananta even mention that the two groups we meet focus on different facets of Lakshmi, so the seeds are there (though this particular case won't likely pay off since one of the groups is the allied tribe that didn't want anything to do with primal summoning).
Oh yea, you are absolutely right!
I had been thinking about that a lot because I was a pretty big fan of FFX when it came out and I liked Yojimbo in that. My friend said something interesting about Yojimbo though.... "I bet we will see him in the Hildibrand storyline" And I really agree. I mean, it really seems like Hildibrand material. Either Hildy could run into Yojimbo and enlist his help or maybe a villian could summon Yojimbo. But if you really think hard... who is the the RICHEST character in all of FFXIV that is a individual (not a nation or organization) with cash to burn? It's Godbert Hildibrand! Can you imagine the attacks Yojimbo would do if Godbert paid him some huge sum?
