It would make far more sense in an expansion that focuses heavily on magitech and machinery in general, yeah.
Also, at some point they're just going to straight up run out of primals/summons from FF lore and need to start creating entire expansions with only new ones.
They kind of already have. IIRC Ravana and Lakshimi are new.It would make far more sense in an expansion that focuses heavily on magitech and machinery in general, yeah.

My predictions:
- The Namazu end up summoning a primal resembling a catfish.
- Crazy stuff happens in the Azim Steppes when the WoL and their allies aren't paying any attention to the area because of reconstruction efforts, and an incarnation of the Dawn Father and Dusk Mother are summoned as primals simultaneously.
Susano is new. Lakshmi is from FFVI.
Tht's my thoughts too, I would see a fight with the 4 fiends like A6 where we have to deal with the 4 robots.
The latest Halicarnassus isn't the real Halicarnassus FFXIV lore wise. It's just Omega's creation from a book narrating the story of FFV.

Still have a bunch that they can steal from 6, 7, and 8.
Maduin
Fenrir (they actually did a retcon to open things up so they could have a full Fenrir summon)
Valigarmanda
Quetzalli
Raiden
Hades
Pandemona
Doomtrain
Eden
Griever
This doesn't even account for other non-summons they could turn into Eikons.
Ravana was new. Lakshimi originally appeared in FF6.

Eventually, we'll be looking at all new primals made for XIV.
Though, by the time that happens, the nature of what a "primal" even is may have shifted so much that it's not going to be what it used to be any longer.
