Equippable Add-On Item or Mount Idea -- WINGS!

Just let me pitch this to you.. we already have weapons of the Round, Inferno, diamond (icey), and earth-y weapons. You know, weapons of the element.

Imagine.. Equippable add-on items (even make a new [GLAM-based, doesn't need stats] slot for them) or make mounts that are wings with various effects?

You could have Wings of Fire, that glow like the Inferno weapons (Wings of the Inferno),
You could have Angel Wings, that glow like the weapons of the round (Wings of the Round),
You could have Golden wings that glow like the Titan weapons (Wings of Tremor),
You could have Wings that have a dry ice/ice glow effect to match the Diamond weapons (Diamond Wings),
You could have Wings of the Wind element (Wings of the Vortex)
You could have Wings just like Moogles have (Mog Wings)

..and SO many more.. those are just a few of the primals..

There's SO much you could do with this.. and I'm SURE that people would go for the Inferno and Angel wings.. cause you can look like Heavenly Angels or the Angels of Death if you combined the two and glammed it up!

(SPOILER) We can already fly as of HW (/SPOILER).. so how cool would it be to have people flying around with wings? This IS Final FANTASY after all.. Cloud and Sephiroth have wings.. well, a wing. So, it's been done before! You could use it as a mount where you can float above the ground with the wings flapping like your flying when on the ground and actually fly when in the air.. then and they can either flap and have you in the air like (SPOILER)Yol or Ahriman does (/SPOILER), be stretched out in all of their magnificence to kind of "show them off" or even tuck in/passively hang and just have the visual effects when standing.

It'd rekindle the raids for the lower level primals, or you could even add a Savage version of the old primals to unlock these.. It could keep the old content completely relevant if you craft this right.

Just so much potential it excites me to talk about this.. what do you guys think? Devs? I'm excited to see what you guys can come up with for this!

I dont like the idea of everyone and their moms having primal themed wings. It puts a weird funk in the games general aesthetic if you ask me. Making it look like some of the lesser F2P MMO's that get spammed on youtube.

If I want wings, I can play any cheap F2P MMO... I'm glad FF doesn't have them in the NA/EU/JP version. I know the Chinese and Korean versions have wings for player characters on a certain outfit set but I just can't see the appeal. They look tacky. It'd be even worse with people just flying around with random glowing wings on their backs- totally breaks the aesthetic of the game. Plus there are plenty of incentives to run old content already- mounts with low drop rates being the prime reason.

Also you can edit your original post to bypass the character limit. That way you don't have to make a bunch of smaller ones.

Yeah no thanks..Glowy weapons are enough.

Even that Korean armor that has angel / devil wings looks stupidly tacky.

I am all for add on items like say, long flowy scarves or accessories like that.. But nothing glowy. And nothing tacky (like wings).

The only wings I'd like them to add are the butterfly-ones from Lost City HM (you know, the stuff our clones get during the first boss).
And I sure as heel dont want them as equipable item but rather as fireworks-thingie, just like the light-wings we get from weddings/promotions.

No, thanks to any wings as gear or as replacment for mounts.

I have to stand firmly against this as it made me think of when Ragnarok Online introduced those tacky wings. It also made me think of free servers where people coloured said wings all sorts of silly colours and it looked terrible on everyone......
