As a new player that really likes this game ...

It's not a full wow clone, no. However they did copy a lot from them. Smn for example doesnt feel very final fantasy, it's more like wow warlock. Cba to type the rest on phone.

Apparently you never played FFXI, Summoner was awesome. WoW was released 2 years AFTER FFXI. So who was copying whom? Personally I don't see much comparison between warlock and smn, but if there is, well ffxi did it first.

Again if people like wow so much and keep going on and on about how much better it is, why are they here?

Speaking as someone who has actually played all three games, FFXI, FFXIV and WoW the Final Fantasy games are by far the better games. Yes, I do like the way the FFXIV game is set up and I do enjoy the story lines. Also I did love FFXI and have never found a game since to compare to it. However the reason I didn't like WoW was the fact that I could tank anything using only 3 keys. Not exactly a challenge.

To be clear, (as someone keeps trying to twist what I'm saying) I have nothing against those who don't like FFXIV or even don't like some things. No game is perfect that I've ever found. I don't care if people don't want to do the story line. What i do care about is people coming here to whine about how FFXIV isn't Wow. Of course it isn't, it's not meant to be. The devs are not going to make this into a Wow clone. If you want a WoW clone I'm sure you can find one, but please don't try to ruin this game.
