Hello!
Recently my subscription wore out on my account and I went to renew it as per usual via Crysta. On 8/17/17 I used Paypal, my normal payment method, and it credited my account with the necessary 769 Crysta. The type of subscription I normally opt for is Entry, 30 days. Upon attempting to renew the subscription however I'm met with the following error.
You cannot use this function.

I'm originally a EU player and moved to the US in the summer of 2016. I've never ran into this error in the past until now. I proceeded to contact Square Enix EU support via live chat on 8/18/17. Below is a quick excerpt of part of the conversation.
Having researched the issue myself prior to reaching out to SE Support I ran across numerous threads talking about potential issues. None of them however stated they were actually charged. In all cases, it was an 'unknown billing issue' and it rejected their payment. In my case it charged my account and credited the Crysta but refuses to allow me utilize said Crysta and reactivate my subscription.
In other threads some users suggested using a secure VPN connection due to the different location. This baffles me since I moved to the US over a year ago and have had no complications with my subscription for numerous months until now. Despite this I decided to try my work VPN and logged into the London server option but was ultimately met with the same error.
Approximately 3 days have elapsed and I've not had any success in reactivating my account. The representative on 8/18/17 merely stated they would escalate the issue and instructed me to attempt it after 24 hours had elapsed. Unfortunately I have not had any positive experiences with SE support in the past. Coupled with the fact other customers with this same issue did not see a resolution for several weeks is not reassuring by any means.
Still, I hope that this can be looked into and resolved within a timely manner.
