I was thinking more that Alphi and his Carbuncle of choice play as one cohesive unit, but act as two targets. They attack in tandem, so you'll want to try to rid him of his carby to cut his offense. I'm stuck referencing Smash again, but think Ice Climbers/Rosalina and Luma in that you're playing two characters at once. Dissidia still lacks this kind of character, and probably couldn't on PSP considering how Yuna was handled.

My concern with Alisaie is she wouldn't have anything new to add at all to Dissidia. Her being a Red Mage is important to FFXIV, but a magical sword weilder with skills that act as a gap closer and another that jumps out is kinda... Unispired in Dissidia.


Thinking more, wouldn't Lyse clip into Tifa's and Prishe's different lady-monk styles? Also, what about the Eorzean Alliance? Merlwyb or Aymeric?

I'm unfamiliar with Prishe, but Lyse is probably more of an elegant pugilist than Tifa, who's more of a brawler/kickboxer. Lyse is much lighter on her feet, at least in the cinematic.

Prishe has (probably) every single MNK skill from FFXI and her gimmick was skill chaining them off of each other (HP attacks being Asuran Fist, Nullyfying Dropkick, Banishga and... a fourth one I forget the name of). Tifa was feints, I think.

Tifa was able to cancel out of her moves and dash toward/behind an opponent, yeah. Auroral Uppercut was Prishe's other HP attack.

Prishe was much quicker than Tifa, but I don't know if that really means much.
