    Vacuum Wave Timing Help

Currently working on O4s with my static group. I main DRK and been having a hell of a time getting the timing right on plunge during Vacuum Wave to avoid the knockback. If I wait until I see the knockback animation it seems too late, but if I use it when the cast bar goes off it seems too early? Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for getting the timing better on this?

Or...would you suggest instead of avoiding the knockback just use plunge as a gap closer to get back to the group quickly?

You definitely have to wait till you're already being knocked back. If you do it any earlier, it will eat the CD and still knock you back. Even if you barely start to move, it can still eat the CD while you're being knocked back, so I like to wait a half a second longer than I would like to instinctively.

As other have said, you have to wait until you're actually sliding then use Plunge to prevent it.

I found that staying inside Exdeath's target circle really helps (gives you more time to use Plunge during slide)

This. As a longer knockback, you get pushed out of Plunge's effective range much sooner. You have 5 yalms less in range to work with than other players with gap closers, so you need to be as close to the knockback source as possible.
