    Easy Way to Make Gil?

What's the easiest way to make Gil? What profession should I get into when deciding how to make Gil?

I spent it all on getting an FC House, a Carbuncle Bed, and a Journal that keeps all quests and cutscenes

Now I'm only running on 50K. Are quests the only way to make Gil at this point?

Gathering jobs are pretty constant inflow, even if you don't really do the gathering yourself you can give the job to your retainer and send them on ventures for high cost items. Also sending your Retainer on "hunts" as your main DoW/DoM job for MOB drops is good. I know Tiger skins from Stormblood areas were selling well for a while. A lot of lower level area's have similarly well selling items.

If you're doing crafting, Culinarians almost always have something in high demand (but recipes are generally complex) since they make consumables the demand will almost always be there. For the other crafters you just have to play the marketboards and find out what people want in the moment. A small warning though, since people generally play during the weekends the prices on items will drop since everyone is flooding the markets. Try to list things midweek.

lastly : Desynthing items is good money but you have to depend on undercutters. Find things that desynth into more expensive mats that people are trying to get rid of on the AH: Darksteel armors/weapons give Darksteel ingots and since some of these are quest rewards people will just try to dump them on the AH for cheap. You'll find things listed for 1k or less and you can get 15k mats out of them along with demimateria which also sell for a lot.

Lastly, GC seals. You can buy many crafting mats that sell for decent amounts on the AH like Borax, and Coke. These sell for a decent amount and you can farm GC seals to buy them via dungeon gear drops.

The easiest way to make gil is by scalping. That is buying items from NPCs and putting them up at the market board at inflated prices.

Two favorite examples are coral rings and iron ingots. It also helps to know which items are GC turnins, like miso soup with tofu, available at a vendor in Kugane.

It does take knowledge and research, but it does not take leveling anything.

To add to what Krotoan was saying; whilst GC seals are useful for making gil, consider getting a tank to 60+ so you can get grade VI materia from levelling roulette. The "in-demand" bonus normally applies to tanks.

to be honest if you want to make fast easy money just do dungeons as a tank if you want to put some effort into it and gather your materials and make a crafting item pick something that sells constantly like leve turn ins or job class turn ins because at this stage of the game people need these items cuz its quicker to level those jobs and class quests(needed for high level crafting). good luck i've found my niche but if i tell ya then others will start and kill the market. Just remember when you find something that makes you money thru the market board don't spread it like butter otherwise others will do same.

If you have a house, use your garden, it's a really good way to make gil, albeit passively and on the side. Over time you will make the return on what you spent on the house.

As has been said, run dungeons, in fact, run Haukke Manor and stock up on Manor Varnish. I'm willing to bet that people will buy this up when the new housing district is released, going as high as 100k per. (Edit) Since I just noticed that you're already uber low on gil, this should probably be something you get on doing your dungeons and collecting bonus. Doing Haukke Manor is a 5 minute run, to where you reach the chest that drops it. Most servers that's 90k for a run where it drops. Assuming level 70 unsync.

Also go level up some gatherers, again, this has already been said but to give more direction go for low level items that are used in high level crafts, such as potter's Clay (Housing items), Raw Amber (Varnish), effervescent water just to name a few. Thankfully in this game there's plenty of ways to make gil without the considerable effort of levelling all crafts.

Don't forget verity and poetics materials, they're also used in high level crafts; the eikon materials, and the materials used in i320 crafts such as Doman Weave. Yes, people are still crafting Ironworks, and in fact Gobcraft resin is used in the new Carbuncle House, which I daresay people are buying.

If you have the leves, use these to aid you levelling up your gatherers, as mid-level items such as Silkworm Cocoon and Darksteel Ore will sell like candy when newer FCs start getting their hands on new housing districts, specifically for the bronco airship components.

If you are a tank or healer, look for healer in need dungeon leveling roulette. Trade it for a VI direct hit materia and sell it on the market.

This. Direct Hit sells for 100k+ easily on Exodus. Potentially 700k+ gil a week for 20-30 minutes of work a day.

You can actually do it multiple times a day, so way more than that is possible.
