Target of Target showing boss castings now?

Still using Focus Target to watch the boss's skill abilities when I'm healing.

Does Target of Target do this now?
i.e, I'm focused on the tank (who's attacking the boss).
Selecting T of T rightly brings up the boss health bar - but does it show the boss's casting abilities?

I'm still selecting the boss before the fight starts and using Focus Target.

Yes, quite right. As a healer it pays to see exactly what ability the boss is using at any given time.
Focus Target gives this information, but setting up Target of Target doesn't seem to give the same level of information on boss's specific skills being cast.

Or does it now, and I'm just doing something wrong?

I haven't been paying attention to whether the "target of target" bar now has a cast bar or not. (But I'm under the impression that recent patches didn't add anything to it). Because whenever I get to boss room, I Focus Target on boss and watch that bar instead (as I set my HUD to have Focus Target float close to my hotbars). So I always solely rely on the Focus Target.

Just to clarify the topic, by Target of Target information, do you mean this thing?

Yes, that is the Target of Target bar. IDK why it'd need to show a cast bar? You have Focus Target and enmity bars. We don't need it a third time on screen....

    Thanks for the replies.
I'll carry on using focus target.

Incidentally I do use Target of Target as I have TofT dps macros, (for when I'm healing in a group).
Focus on the tank for main healing, and carry out some dps without switching target.

I have a couple of simple macros:
/focustarget <t> - (cast on boss) which brings up a separate window and does tell you the actual abilities the target is casting.
    or
/focustarget <tt> - (cast on tank) also brings up the window, but doesn't seem to show the cast details of the tt.

It should register whatever your tank is at that moment targeting as your focustarget

There, that's where my confusion was. I never knew about /focustarget <tt>, I will have to test it and see what it does.

Welcome any feedback, it may just be me doing something wrong.

I tried this yesterday. However, I didn't remember to make macro, and I suddenly remembered that I wanted to try it when I was already in the dungeon. So I used chat command /focustarget <tt> manually while in a boss room instead. Not sure if this may alter the outcome or not, but I assume it should execute the same way as macro.

This one is my normal way. Manually target on the boss, and use Shift+F to command the Focus Target. (pic above)

Then, I select my tank and Shift+F on him, just to change my Focus Target and prepare for testing /focustarget <tt>

I targeted my tank, and typed /focustarget <tt>

The Focus Target bar changed to the boss instead, and it functioned perfectly fine. (pic below)

To me, it is the exact same bar, same interface, same function. The only difference is that it is another "method" to assign your Focus Target. Once the Focus Target is correctly selected, it should work the same. So I don't know what's wrong with yours. Maybe if you can take a screenshot of when it's not working as intended, we might be able to see what went wrong. From what I read here, your macro looks fine.
