Apparently, yelling at the top of my lungs in my sleep, "I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOUR EARTHLY STAR." Woke my husband up and scared the cats that were asleep on me.

Husband's case: getting him drunk in Las Vegas during the first fan fest and him mumbling about Odin's fight in his sleep. Couple of friends and I start talking to him about the fight and I tell him to LB and he says, "I can't, I'll lose grease!" "You have to! You're the only melee!" "But my grease!" "We're gonna dieeeee!"

Friends (giggling at this point), also telling him to LB. "Fine, bye grease." Then saying to him, "It's too late. We're dead!" "No, see I can still LB!"

It was honestly adorable. The only things either of us sleep talk about if FFXIV (and considering neither of us sleep talk normally). >_> Think that qualifies as knowing you play the game too much.

When you go to sleep IRL and also at the same time put your character to sleep ingame and leave it online to wake up and start the day in FFXIV. Like getting a shower ready, preparing food and leaving to the FC house like it's a normal day at work. With time stamps and whatnot. Yes I do this. and it's awesome

• you are surprised when your own face stares back at you in your mirror instead of your avatar - particularly acute if you are playing the opposite gender;
• Mayhap you have used hither and thither in a sentence
• You start an email with "/fc"
• You answer to your character name
• you call your partner by their character name
• ...and they respond!
• You wonder why no one has animal ears and a tail
• You wonder why skirts are so long these days
• You have to have new music playing when you enter a new location
• You're bored with the same old hair and eye colors
• It's only the 2nd month of your vacation year and you're almost out of sick days and vacation days.
• You worry that the Chcobos are missing
• You can't understand why no one is dressed as a snowman, a moogle nor wearing bikinis to the office
• your first thought when encountering that guy at the office who's nice but dim is "git gud"

One more;

You might be playing too much Final Fantasy 14 if....your working Playstation 4 is sitting on top of your NON-working Playstation 4.
