    Healer for first time

I main dps. But, I did tank too (drk)

I'm very very scary use as healer. Since if I failed heal players, I get faulted.

    People said me.
I should know before the names of the boss's hit a "big damage" when I heal bigger same time .....

    -------

    Myself loved Astrologian design.

But, if I need learn first time healer. Need use Conjurer/White Mage?
Or Scholar as 30lvl like Astrologian

What healer's job one easier? My friend used AST, said it's great.

The easiest healer to learn with is white mage. It is a very traditional healer so it is great for beginners. It also has very good dps.

White Mage is the easiest healer to learn. But if you like the Astrologan design, play that. You'll start at low enough level that you've got lots of time to learn it.

Early on its really just about focusing on keeping people's health up and learning how your abilities work. Once you're comfortable there, you can add in some DPS as time permits. Then they start giving you card abilities. The levelling dungeons are there to learn, so if yo ustart with those and gradually work up, you'll do just fine.

Just remember that you can pick a lower level dungeon deliberately if you want to start as easy as possible.

Don't worry too much about being faulted. A good portion of the time this happens, it isn't the healer's fault. So whether you play poorly or flawlessly, people are going to think whatever they want. The mistakes you do actually make will only make you a better healer if you learn from them.

Choose the healer that interests you. Or play multiple healing jobs if you so desire. The main thing is you enjoy whichever you choose. Do hall of novice and you will learn the elementary basics that will carry you from level 15 to Max. Best of luck to you@

I think AST and WHM can both be friendly to new players. Coming from a DPS background AST might feel a bit more fulfilling because of the cards, WHM turns into Stone spam pretty quick.

The best advice I can give is just stay calm. Keeping a level head can help you get through situations that would have otherwise been impossible. Whether its avoiding a wipe because the tank went down or handling a rude party member it's your biggest asset as a healer.

Flat out, not to discourage you from healing, you will get blamed for things that aren't your fault. It's okay, it rarely escalates, just don't let it get to you.

I also recommend playing healer in PoTD to get your feet wet. There you'll only be facing really minor damage so it'll be easier to ease yourself into the mindset before moving onto something more serious. I also highly /highly/ recommend going WHM first. AST is the most powerful right now but WHM will help you grasp how most healing is done in this game with very little in the way of error. Once you've gotten used to that, and I'd personally do dungeons until Lv. 30, then I would recommend switching to AST. The only one I would avoid is SCH, simply because it's has the highest skill ceiling and you /will/ get frustrated if you aren't used to healing. However once you get used to it, and by that I mean you've been healing a little while, then it might be another class to try.

Honestly, in terms of learning healer, I'd argue AST is easier and the two reasons for that are Essential Dignity and Lightspeed. Having instant heals aside from Swiftcast helps a lot to compensate for mistakes while you're still learning the damage potential of packs, especially if you get a wall-to-wall sprint tank not using their CD.
Of course, AST is also a lot more boring than WHM in early dungeons because your dps is a lot worse and you can't even play your children's card game until Haukke.

You will find this as a healer. It can be less friendly to learners, because people will expect that you're doing the job properly. But in WHM vs SCH vs AST, I wouldn't say 1 is more complicated to learn than the other, I say depends on the person and their approach to healing. WHM has raw heals & HoTs, SCH has shields + faerie (at low level, you can let the faerie do most of the work), AST has a mix of WHM and SCH plus cards and an insta-cast buff.

Heal the lower dungeons first, get a feel for how healing is in a group where you're not pushing your healing potential, you'll only have 2 or 3 spells to worry about. Once you get to grips with it, progress to the next dungeon. I also viewed Guildhests as being a way too, but I don't know if people still do those. And the difficulty of dungeons is progressive, so it gives you room to learn and improve as you level.
