Thtat's because the g1ear you receive is the reward for doing the fights, it's a different intention than what you have from wow where you need to be at the boss ilvl drop to beat him. which according to method and exorsus is a very bad thing

There should be a "Super Savage" raid (1 boss) update in 4.1.
Maybe beating that "thing" will get some people a feeling of "accomplishment", but let's not be hasty.
MCH/BRD/PLD

There is a mount for beating the fourth tier of savage - it's that feathered snake thing you fight in the first tier. With the armor, the only difference is that it can be dyed whereas the normal delta armor can't be unless you get that special dip or wax or whatever it is, also currently only available in savage.
And I think they are working on a super savage boss fight? Ozma savage was hinted at a couple times, but who knows.
I was playing the game on lunch but was the first encounter or coil, and a1s extremely hard to start of the raid ? I mean I have done them sync but of course over geared but those encounters didnt seem to be so difficult themselves so why are people downgrading V1s
A1S was a whole different thing in case of difficulty.,
When you want to compare A1S vs. V1S, the difference is similar with Ifrit Story Fight (the 4 man battel around Lvl 20) vs. Royal Menagerie.

I'm with you, sort of.
I think it's just the naming convention vs expectation thing. There's no difference between say OS2 and calling it Catastrophe Extreme, except the method of loot acquisition and the loot lockout.
If they put more effort into their 24 man's and labled them as the "raids" whereas Omega remained in some sort of weird "trial" boss offshoot then I think less people would be complaining. Obviously this requires man power and money Square doesn't have or isn't willing to expend so we have to just temper our expectations.
Raiding this way is fine in the sense it gets you to the meat of what most people want quicker, if that's not for you this might not be the raid scene you are looking for.
After almost wiping every run , in dun scathe at least once I really wouldnt want anything savage like in a 24 man, for many people this is 24 mans is the peak of the content they do. So I think weeping , dun scathe is about right for a 24 man, at this point, I dont exactly no what will appease the community of very skilled players with very skilled friends I think the answer is probably pretty much nothing. SO if nothing is the answer then why should SE even bother at all tryin to work with them, I really hope that super savage is unbeatable so then maybe people would just hush it.
There's nothing wrong with FF14.I think i'd feel bad to say to my static that i just would like to quit raiding because it's too easy and not fun anymore. Too much time spent to get a piece of 340 that i would erase during 4.2.....yeah. Am i getting older or is it normal to feel that way about raiding in FF XIV ?
You're just getting older.
You're starting to realize that humans are different, and that "skill" is not some sort of thing all people are equally open to and have to train the same amount for in order to get.
For example, take arm wrestling.
I'm sure you understand that some people are just stronger than others.
Put a 320 lb man vs. a 85 lb man in an arm wrestling competition and there's no skill involved. It's simply one man with an inherent ability greater than the other man.
Sure, some experience can help if the match is 'more even,' but who cares if the "skill" is basically if you're born with it or not?
FF14 (and all video games) are no different in general, only different in specifics.
Video games mostly rely on hand-eye co-ordination and memorization.
Just like being large and strong, these different specific abilities have a large portion reliant on whether or not you're born with it.
There is also a certain level of experience and learned-ability that can help improve an individual's personal level.
However, just as a 320 lb man will "beat" an 85 lb man in an arm wrestle... there are those who are simply born more in-line with the abilities used when playing video games that will "beat" those who are not born more in-line with the abilities used when playing video games.
This doesn't mean that skill doesn't exist.
It merely goes to show how silly an "elitist" really is... or anyone saying "that game takes no skill."
Of course skill exists, and of course FF14 takes skill.
That skill may come easy to you, or hard to you.
There is no such thing as "an easy game" there is only "an easy game for you, given your current level of specific abilities for that game."
We can even go down to pong.
Simple, easy... says those of us used to playing things like FF14.
But, get someone who was born with a brain deficiency... it may be difficult to even explain the "point" of pong... let alone how to play it.
And the "simple, easy" game is not simple or easy to them, given their current level of specific abilities for that game.
So in measuring FF14, you need to be more specific.
If you want some sort of "as objective as possible" measurement... the only way to do that is to look at how popular the game is. Obviously millions play the game. It's one of the most successful MMO's available today.
Therefore, in an "as objective as possible" way, FF14 is a fantastic game that is extremely fun.
However, that doesn't help you at all.
So, you need to realize that any "as objective as possible" measurement for something that you want something subjective out of ("fun")... is silly.
You should then move to a better measurement... your own personal, subjective measurement.
FF14 very well may not be fun for you.
FF14 very well may be boring for you.
Figure out what 'fun' means to you.
Figure out what 'boring' means to you.
Find a game that meets your requirements.
TL/DR: FF14 is fine, you just need to figure out what you want from a video game and go find it.

I definitely agree that the lack of randomness contributes to the staleness of FFXIV endgame. In XI, most endgame bosses weren't, strictly speaking, all that hard and could be downed even by players who were not exactly the crème of the crop. However they generally had a few gotcha moves that were hard to recover from - and because boss moves were done at random, it was entirely possible to be hit by several of these gotcha moves in relatively quick succession. The groups that could overcome these emergency cases were the true champs of the game.
