Getting a tabletop item closer to the floor

There's something i'm trying to do in my house, but it's causing me a bit of frustration.

What I would like to do is put the oriental dressing case on the side of my oriental bathtub, using the floating item glitch. However, I can't quite get it low enough. It hovers far enough over the edge to be noticeable:

The thing is, I know it's possible to get a tabletop item closer to the ceiling using the floating item glitch by sort of "linking" two items together. I tried to play around with that a bit but couldn't find a way to do the reverse; has anybody found a way to maybe get something just a bit lower? This is driving me crazy.

I would try using a riviera wall shelf attached to a white partition wall, since the white partition wall allows for the shelf to be attached all the way down to the baseboard if needed. That should allow you to put the dressing case on the shelf, manipulate the shelf to your desired height on the oriental bathtub, then use the floating item trick to get it to stay there.

Oh, perfect! I haven't used the white wall in anything yet so I wasn't aware that it let wall mounted things go lower than the other partitions.

I think the Oriental round table goes a little lower if you need the lower height. However keep in mind that any time you use the floating trick, if the floating item is too close to the wall/floor/tabletop it will snap to it when you leave the instance. That distance is a little bigger than the thickness of a partition.
