I would venture if half of the people in a given group want someone removed, more often than not, vote dismiss is working as intended™.

Are there going to be instances of vote kick abuse? Of course!

It's far from perfect, but I think half the party is a good enough metric.

Democracy is not "half", it's "more than half". "2 out of 4" and "4 out of 8" are not the majority.

Since you can't vote for or against your own dismissal it's actually 2/3 or 4/7. Not 50%

Your voice is just an automatic "no". Like the one initiating the kick is an automatic "yes". You can't call it democratic is you prevent one person from "voicing" his/her opinion.

What are you being protected from exactly Destatiredux. Did your group wipe ve rand over. Seems you are trying to force people to play your way. YOur th eone who had no consderation for the person you kicked. You might have actually had to take 2-3 minutes longer tho finish the dungeon.

Look at it from a standpoint of a DPS - if you had a tank who couldn't keep the enemies off you or a healer who couldn't heal would you say the same "well yeah but let them stay out of courtesy" response?

Yes, this is different than dragging a DPS because you can clear 4man content with 1 DPS but that is beside the point, can't reward one role with allowing their bad play and not do it for others.

TBQH, most NPC's are wayyyy more interesting and about as competent as most people I pug dungeons with. If they were any good they'd surely know that MY experience is way more interesting and important than whatever frost wizard self-insert RP that they've got going on. If they don't perform according to expectations then I'll MAKE them, and if they still wont perform then I'll KICK them. Broken tools go in the BIN! Randoms in PUGs aren't real people until they pass my fourteen-question "REAL PERSON or FAKEY BOT" quiz.

Your group is the one who had no consideration for the person you kicked. You might have actually had to take 2-3 minutes longer to finish the dungeon. You make the person have to repeat the dungeon. You make them feel bad and effect there enjoyment of the game and you also show your not a very nice person..and what for . To save a couple of minutes. I have been kicked for a group when I first started playing without a word said to me. Happened once only. Only time I was kicked. Nobody said what was the reason. Just kicked. I have no idea.

The player they kicked has no consideration for the 3 other people he was slowing the run down for. As much as people looove doing the same thing over and over people have other things to do than let one person inefficiently and waste there time.
