The feast is a freaking joke. The Dev's need to pay more attention with pvp in this game. Its so freaking stupid. Lets restrict communication and on top of that pit you with completely random players AND lets let the lower level people que up with the vets who are competitively trying to compete for the season's ranks and let them lose! I swear this is the shittiest pvp mode in any mmo i've ever played. They really really need to fix this. a 3 button combo and spam O'GCD's. I swear, its like they really dont care at all.

Stormblood PvP is a joke, period. It went from being fine with quite some room for improvement to a 5 button clown fiesta. The funny part is that the balancing, which was one of the most controversial topics in 3.X, doesn't seem to have gotten any better.
I have to agree though; since introducing the Feast back in 3.21 almost every change they've implemented made PvP as a whole worse. Talk about learning from your mistakes.

Have you considered the fact that XIV isn't a pvp game at heart? Want proper pvp? Play something where it was a core function or built with it in mind. It's going to be far from perfect when its the result of people screaming for it. Think voice chat added to something where there was no voice chat at all.

PvP actually wasn't that bad, I enjoyed the old shatter maps (The ones with the inteceptor drones).

Frontlines wasn't actually that bad before they plagued it with bots.

Feast wasn't too terrible before since you could actually get a decent team and it wasn't reliant heavily on your healer... It's just now it's just a steaming pile of polished (Lol nice balance changes before the new season SE) s***.

The fact they added some pvp containts means they want to invest in it.So you can't keep saying "FF XIV isn't a pvp game at heart" and they can't just add pvp, screw it and say "ye it's not a pvp game anyway we are allowed to fk it up" no logic.

Yeah, the abuse of the ranking system and the convoluted matchmaking problems are so systemic and far-reaching. Sometimes I think someone is sitting back there with popcorn just watching it all unfold... And the fact that we haven't had much of a dev response except to say "hey we're collecting your feedback" and "we need more data" is really worrisome.

As much as i tried to give this new system a chance i just can't like it at all, being reliant on your team in a PuG world is something i loathe above everything. As a solo player i cannot have my fun in pvp anymore due being gutted from all self sustain, its literally impossible to solo 3 DD's as a tank nowadays and stuff like that was my fun besides generally being a pain it the ass and trolling. So for me PvP is now just another alternative for tomes and exp i cannot take it seriously anymore nor i can have my personal fun in there, only hope is that if we gradually get back all our lost abilities in future to the point hotbars will look similar to what it was in HW.

Getting real tired of getting Silver healers who won't even heal this poor bard jumping in front of them with half health after they just respawned from letting half the team die while not being CC'd.

Honestly this rank climb has been worse than when I tried in S1 just because of the amount of players who don't care.

Healers don't heal most of the time , half the tanks don't even hassle the opposing healer and don't bother to line their burst up with you despite pretending to be dps. Looking at you warrior.
